They do. A bore thru plays stiffer to flex. Which means, for lack of a longer description, that it'll play more like a stiff.
For a standard bore, they install the real deal. I've heard from a number of sources that the shafts from an OEM tend to be all over the place for flex, whereas the aftermarket seem to be better. I can't say for certain, as I've never checked, but the Graf Blues that I hit in some Cally heads weren't the same feeling as mine installed in a Cally head, that's forsure.
False advertising? I dunno. Maybe chalk it up to naivity.
