I've got a radial arm saw in the garage too - it was a gift from my father in law - it was his father's - I think it's from the 70's - I haven't identified a single safety feature on it yet - I won't put a cutting blade on it - I use it to hold a sanding wheel or a buffing wheel only
I think most of us have cut cords with hedge trimmers - the smart ones don't tape it back up and keep going. |
