Maybe they just need some "breaking in" then.
They must be durable as I hit about 10 full SW's to nearly 100yds. and no pieces of ball in the grooves. My SW normally shreds the ball on a full swing, most balls are unplayable after a full bunker blast. I was hitting off the mats too, mimicks a superspin bare lie. My SW sounds like snapping a broomstick over your knee off a bare lie full.
