| I don't understand how professional golfers can be so bad at those kinds of shots. Anyone who plays even remotely seriously should have precise yardage numbers for 1/2, 3/4, and full swings for every club from LW through 9-iron and should be able to hit any number under their 9-iron distance with two or even three different clubs.
I've never had problems with half-swing lob wedges. I always try to get as close to the green as possible unless the flag is situated somewhere that requires a lot of spin.
