Sounds like you and I have the same type of game. The closer I get to the green the more confident and focused I become. I am a great putter, chipper, and pitcher of the golf ball. I know how to "score ugly" because of my short game. I too have read Rotella's books and quickly applied his ideas to these areas of my game. I am going to refocus my efforts to include "Conservative strategy, Cocky swing" to the long game.
