ADDING length to a driver for accuracy?

So I bought some dumpy TM R5 dual off of ebay because it had the shaft I wanted, which I plan to pull out. However, being such a hooker, I decided to turn a few tricks with it.

8/9 drives dead center, long long long!

The driver really feels heavy, and it appears to be an inch longer than mine, which would account for the heavier feeling. Mass x distance from CG and whatnot...

I don't really want to play it, because my launchers are sexier, and that's very important for shooting low scores. It DOES make me consider pulling my Launcher 460 back an inch. That extra length just makes it feel so much easier to swing for me...

Any comments? Was it just a fluke?
