So how does it work out then? This is what I know...
The top 144 players in the points listing Qualify for the 1st event. The Top 120 then go to the next event, then it's whittled down to 70 then finally the last 30. The winner of the last 30 then wins the FedEx cup & $10 Million that goes with it.
So if this is a seeded event, which I read somewhere it is, then how does he who qualified #1 on the listings gain advantage over he who qualified 144th in the listings, if it's a stroke play event?
Or if the 144th place qualifier hits form he's got as much chance as the 1st seed to win the thing? How cool would it be if the 144th qualifier finished 120th in the 1st event, 70th in the 2nd, 30th in the 3rd and went on to win the Final.
How much would $10 million lift somebody in the world rankings, if lefty or Jim win how much would it close the gap on Tiger?
I can't wait for this to start, hopfully it will be on SKY or I will have to invest in Sentanta.
