Big Box home centers such as Lowes and HD have a bad reputation among industry professionals BUT, did you ever consider shopping your card around big construction sites on your own time?
I'm thinking that with a little legwork you could easily triple your sales, especially if you can market name brands like Andersen and Thermatru at a discount to big time builders.

Yes sling, We do that alot with developers. I am the youngest so the other specialists have more contacts already but I have gotten a 60 house development for 2 storm doors each, a 35 room aparment building for new entry doors. Plus its alot of word of mouth, windows have the biggest margain for us, but ive only gotten into arrangements with one builder for his development on windows. We offer thermatru, pella, benchmark, peachtree, thermastar and can special order many other brands. Some of the guys make $1500-2000 a paycheck on commision alone.
