If you are married, you have the most laid back wife I've ever heard of. If my clubs ever went any where near the living room (or the dining room mentioned above), me AND my clubs would be in the doghouse.... literally. And I only have one bagful to worry about.
Unless I need the space, mine live in the trunk of my car year round. And then they only come out for as long as necessary. I want to be ready for golf at a moments notice, and it doesn't do me any good if I get an invite when I'm out somewhere and my clubs are 15 miles away at home. It's been that way for more than 20 years, and I can assure those who worry about such things, no harm has come to them for it. Neither the summer heat nor the winter cold has had any noticeable effect on them. The only thing I will do if I think of it is to take 2 or 3 balls and put them in my pockets to warm them up ahead of time when I get the call to play at this time of year.
