So true...

The putters I put together tonight were a little side project for fun. I decided to use a couple old TaylorMade hybrid shafts. They still had the grips on them so I had to strip them off. Of course they were put on with tape and solvent at the factory. The first one the tape just peeled right off almost in one piece and almost no residue. The second one must have been put on with monkey snot and it was obvious it was going to be a pain. Thankfully I remembered I bought a new heat gun a few weeks ago so it was a good chance to try it out. I cut a slit lengthwise down the tape and hit it for about 30 seconds with the heat gun on low heat. Voila! The tape peeled off in one giant piece. A little cleanup with Goo Gone and the shaft was good to go.

I know one thing for sure, if I had a shop and did a bazillion grips there is no way I'd use anything but air.
