| It's unusual because he went after the other goalie, pulled his mask off, and proceeded to punch the goalie while he turtled. That doesn't fly.
Also, the fact that he get's somewhat physical with the ref doesn't help him either. I'm pretty sure the ref warned him tons of times while he was going crazy in his end. I can't imagine the fines the team is going to have to pay, especially if they were considered the instigators. A minor team in La Ronge, Junior A hockey, had, I think it was $1000 in fines, or so, from starting a line brawl. Which sucked because they split it between the team and not the organization. So the two that started it each had to pay $400 and $300, and the other guys paid $100 each. Which is hard because, to begin with, each player is only given $500 a month, I'm pretty sure. (This is all memorization, I may be wrong somewhere. But this was most of it).
And sticking the middle finger usually gets you a warning, I know that first hand.
Like father like son, I never respected Patrick from a personal point of view. Goalie wise? He's amazing.
