If he hadn't hit the stick the ball may have gone off the green and he would have been staring at 8 (or worse). Heck, it might have even gone in the water again.
Oh, and Price is one of those guys that all the players and announcers seem to like and pull for to do well -- a genuinely good guy. It seems to me that since he fell off on the regular tour he really has never played all that well since.
