Trigger locks are a horrendous idea.
I don't have a big problem with a gun safe, as long as it provides security and allows easy access. This one is good. I can open it in the middle of the night, without fumbling for keys. I just need to be sober enough to remember the combination, which is probably a real good thing...
For all the defending of gun rights that I do, I also acknowledge that they are potentially dangerous. Gun accidents take more lives that they save - that's an uncomfortable fact. But those accidents can be prevented through education, training, and a safety-first mindset. I pray I never have to shoot someone. I pray even more that I never point my gun at anything while drunk.
