I played on Saturday with two strangers. Basically nice guys, but didn't have a clue. Terrible players, and had this bad habit of driving right by the short hitters tee shot and looking for the long hitters shot, which was invariably in the woods somewhere. And the short hitter had this awful habit of giving course advice on every shot. You know the type:

"There's water running all the way up the left hand side, but don't aim too far right, since the woods are OB, and that fairway is really narrow up there. Don't hit it in that bunker, bacause then you won't have a clear shot to the green...blah, blah, blah."

I finally had to say to the guy: "I appreciate the advice, but would you tell me where I WANT to hit it, instead of where I DON'T."

He looked at me like I had just molested his Collie, and never said a word to me the rest of the round.

I just can't figure people out sometimes...
