| Source of hitting the driver toe I'm on vacation in South Texas and I thought I'd take some time away from the beach and take a lesson while I'm here. I found the South Padre Island Golf Club could get me in for a quick lesson. I've been unable to break away from work long enough to take a lesson at home in the past month.
Right off the bat the instructor here found the source of my trouble was the bottom half was not turning out fast enough. I worked on a few drills and got turning a bit faster. Now I'm standing a little closed and the ball strikes are leaving marks near the center of the club instead of the toe.
I also need to turn my body more toward the target as well....go figure!
I still need to work on getting the swing path more from the inside out, but for now I'm happy with getting the ball out a little farther than before.
Anyone have any drills for swinging the driver inside to out?
