Sad thing is, my stupid male ego won't let me buy a van like the Honda Odyssey - which is of course the perfect solution.
(In a gruff, manly voice...) I needs me a 4x4 so's I can go huntin' and fishin.' And I need's me somethin' to be haulin mah stuff aroun' with too...
Seriously, I am not driving into the woods in a Honda Odyssey, even though I could go 90% of the places I need to go. May not take me everywhere I want to go, or dream of going; but neither will an Xterra, when you get right down to it...

I've never bought a new 4x4. Personally, there is no way I could take a truck I was making payments on and do the things to it I do with a 4x4. When I lived in Florida I had the perfect 4x4. A 1978 Dodge Ram PowerWagon. 360 V8, new transfer case, both rear ends had just been redone, 8 inches of lift, 16x38 Monster mudders, painted camouflage and it didn't have a straight piece of sheet metal on it anywhere. It had this front bumper made out of 2 inch pipe with a grill guard made onto it. We used to go out and see just how big of a tree we could run over,

Damn I miss that ugly truck.
