I've had a couple R5's and they are a little different. Plus I don't get along all that well with the Blueboard. It's OK but when I'm swinging poorly, it adds to my trouble. I had the 10.5* with the Rombax 7W06. It was a decent combo but I hit it pretty high and judging by flight, too much spin. Stick with th R5tp if you've been hitting it that well for that long. What was that combo, like $800 retail or some crap when it came out?
I've hit a lot of drivers and the TP's are different. I swear they have like a sweet spot inside the sweet spot... like the sweetest spot. They just sound different when hit absolutely dead on flush and the distances I've gotten are ridiculous. Last one I really caught was a few weeks ago. 496yd. par 5 with 155 left in. Actually uphill to a plateau where it flattens out. I don't know how accurate the teebox yardage is but that comes out to about 340. I know the 2 guys I played with talked about it for the rest of the round.
