To be fair, depth perception changes a HUGE amount from contacts to glasses. If you wear glasses every day you can function normally with them on - I did it for years. If you wear contacts every day you can function normally with them in - I do it currently. If you do one on a daily basis and switch to the other, you're screwed. I wear my contacts 24/7. Glasses go on for about 8 hours 2-3 times a year. I walk into corners, get headaches, hit my knee on the bed trying to climb in, etc. When I wore glasses and first got contacts the same thing happened, although to a much lesser degree.
If it were anyone other than Kenny Perry I'd buy it, because it really is a valid excuse. But in this case I have to go with the cop-out. Even if your excuses are believable, you can't miss every major of the year without raising an eyebrow. It's not Michelle Wie level BS yet, but it's getting there.
