Hey, how about YOU show some "damn respect" for the other people posting here. This was a simple discussion until you pushed it to a personal level, complete with hyperbole. Nobody here hates Kenny Perry. They just question his motives and his ability to persevere in the Ryder Cup when he has voluntarily chosen not to prove himself in the only other 4 tournaments that simulate the same level of competition and stress as the Ryder Cup.

And it wasn't a "torn cornea". He just couldn't wear contact lenses for a little while because he had lasik surgery and his eyes needed to "rest" without contacts. That's all. Anybody who wears contacts does the exact same thing every now and then.

In his own words, it was "annoying" and "aggravating". That's all.

Quote:
" . . . it was annoying and difficult to be to trying to fight a tough golf course and have my eye aggravating me at the same time.''

"I love the PGA Championship and I hate to not be continuing. But I have got to get ready for the Ryder Cup,'' said Perry, who turns 48 on Sunday."
Yeah, right, withdraw to prepare for the Ryder Cup. An event which is more than a month away.

It's a good thing Tiger didn't have anything aggravating him during the U.S. Op... Oh, wait.

Well then its a good thing that Padraig didn't have any annoying distractions during the Briti... Shoot, nevermind.

I guess its lucky that Trevor Immelman hadn't come off a year with multiple injuries and a major surgery that removed a tumor from his chest cavit... Hmmm.

EDIT: And for the sake of accuracy, Perry does not lead in FedEx Cup points. Tiger is still in first place.
