| If you can swing it financially, I don't guess it would hurt anything. However, playing even scratch golf isn't going to get it done on a Pro Tour. My suggestion would be to play college golf, hone your skills and then try in another few years. If you are a 1 or lower handicapper, I imagine getting a scholarship to an American University wouldn't be too difficult, that is of course assuming you have the grades and haven't already completed college?
