I have been feeling the need for a real 3W lately cause a couple of courses around here have short par 4's (like 270 yarders) and my drives on par 5's are leaving me in range to get on in 2. Yes, on good days I really can out drive a 270 yd hole.... not just on the net. Anyways... previously all I had was a $15 acuity 3W with a uni- (senior women's) flex shaft in it. SLICE CITY. So I went and got an Adams Ovation3 3W with an Aldila VS Proto (ovation made for adams) 75stiff. I think it might be made for Dick's, but this club rocks. Got it new for $50. I didn't show it on the course today with WBL and ejdahl, but this club is so easy to hit and impossible to hit a bad shot with. Of course after I told them that I topped it and everything else, but provided you hit the ball, it goes.... and straight. I went and hit it for the first time this morning before our round and killed it. Hit one good shot with it during the round. I was so pissed about that that I went back to my practice spot and killed it again. So although I faltered in the face of golf buddies, I still love this club. It was operator error. A little more practice and this could possibly become a money club.
