I was putting very solid today. I noticed a couple things that I never paid attention to before. I held my finish and watched the putt drop. Like didn't move the putter at all until the ball was in the hole. And I was thinking differently as well: "I can mark another u/d on my card after this one drops" vs. "
if this one drops". All about confidence - I will make this putt. Had a bunch of one-putts for u/d but only one birdie. My swing thought might have carried over a bit too: all day, for full swings, chips, and putts, I was thinking 'tempo', being smooth and relaxed. I could get used to this.
However, I just can't shake the idea that it's best to have very low expectations: "I will miss this putt, it's too difficult". Then you are never disappointed!
