I havent heard much about these. Are they any good and would it play well in a 3 wood? If so this is the Perfect price for me.

But Im going to cut it down toa 3w
and If I cut at the tip, that also stiffens it correct? Cause I have a feeling Im going to need it a tiny bit stiffer. Also will that fit in a TM 300 Tour 3w head?? If not can it be sanded/Shimmed to fit?

I don't know how it would work in a 3-wood. 66g weight. .335 tip should fit in TM. Don't know if you need an adapter. Very good shaft. Lot's of pros played this awhile ago, don't know about now. Not good for a hard swinger. Works better for smooth swing. This is from Titleist site...

i swing harder than you do and played an X flex YS-6+ for 3 years with no problems.

Guys, swingspeed and how hard you swing are not necessarily the same thing. I think (wbl correct me if I'm wrong) that he means how hard you load the shaft. My ss could be (and is) lower than Youngun5's, but if I load it harder than he does we would need different shaft properties and therefore different shaft models. This would be a separate decision from what flex to get the shaft in.

Or, I could be completely wrong and this could be a useless post!!

MC, you're spot on.

someone like ernie with the smoothest swing in the world could get a 120 ss, but someone else who gets the same swing speed but really brings the heat from the top of the backswing aren't going to be getting the same results from the same shaft.
