On another (non-golf) forum I used to frequent, we had a good traders thread that listed members who had been involved in good trades/purchases/sales with other members. It made it easier to know who to trust, especially for newer members.

I think this would be a great thread to have stickied.

Rules are simple: Post a list of names of members you have had good transactions with. This is not a bad traders list, and I suggest that all posts about bad transactions be deleted by a mod or moved to a similar stickied thread.

Also, instead of making multiple posts, you can simply edit your original post as you need to.

If I leave anyone out, please send me a PM and I'll add you to the list. Memory isn't what it used to be!

Irish Golfer: By way of Slingblade61, by way of Rockford35. I sent Rock a TEE driver. He liked it, but didn't want to buy it. Irish Golfer bought it sight unseen, and picked it up from Sling, who he was visiting on a business trip. Rock was good enough to ship it to Sling, and Sling was good enough to store it. No idea where that club is now...

SiberianDVM: Gave me a Masters souvenir - for free. Also, sent me some Noodles - for free. What a moderator! What a guy!

Clemsonhacker: Bought a set of MP-30's from him that I still have (and are for sale.)

Wirehair: Bought him an airline ticket to Florida in exchange for a putter. Also sold him a Scotty Big Sur and a Mil-Spec.

Bstone (formerly Tmag): Reshafted a club for me. Excellent work at an excellent price.

Indacup: Rehafted a driver for me. Also, bought a Renegade. Excellent work at an excellent price.

Dreadful idea.

This is the sort of thing that easily gets forgotten after about 3 weeks.

I have something better.

How about something like this?

• Rate another member: Positive / Negative / Neutral
• Ratings displayed in every user avatar field
• Specify in each transaction: Buyer, Seller, or Trade
• Leave multiple comments about the deal
• Dates & IPs are all recorded to prevent abuse
• Specify a thread URL to the deal
• Advanced URL checking
• Display ratings over time
• Filter based on Buyer/Seller/Trade/or feedback they left for others
• Users can edit/delete ratings left for others (time based limitation)
• iTrader Admins can edit/delete anyone's ratings (just incase)
• PM notification when new rating or comment is left
• Per-usergroup permissions
• Lots of admin controllable options
