    GOLF TIP

THE BALL IS ABOVE OUR FEET

    1. If you struggle with hitting the ball fat in these shots..Grip down on your club about 11/2" that will help you from taking a divit...
    2. The ball will have a tendency to fly to the left, aim a little
    farther to the right.

    3. DO NOT BEND YOUR KNEES

    Re: GOLF TIP

I do not hit the ball fat in these shots, do not take a divot, and the ball goes fairly straight because I use my Driver. Although, if I do not bend my knees I hit it fat, take a divot and the ball goes left. I also have tendency of breaking the shaft on my driver, which is the least of my concerns, because I bought an Aldila Umbrella that has a screw on tip and seconds as a driver shaft.

What should I do? Put a towel over my head and pray that I hit the ball well?????

Thank you for your service, you are a Godsend.

Who want a tip from a dude who can't spell divot?

Why would you not bend your knees? Choking down on the club has nothing to do with the divot, it has to do with the fact the GD ball is now closer to you. You could actually just adress the ball off the toe and use a flatter plane. This point, actually, is why most amatuers, myself included, will have a tendency to rip the ball off an above feet lie. We finally hit a shot on a plane like the pros have.

If anything, on an above feet lie, I'd say to hit more of punch type shot without a big release. This will get the ball started out on a good line without a ton of sidespin and minimize the chances of worst case scenario, which would be a dead pull left of left.
