You're asking a bit too much to be honest there, mate....

983K

That's why it's called an "asking" price...
If it's too much then make me an offer !!

Thanks for your interest!

He's not interested... he's got an R7 with the same shaft

I don't think your price is too rediculous, then again I have no idea what british money is worth LOL.

Taking all things into consideration it is dear though, VD.

Just double the price in pounds sterling and you'll get the U.S. dollar equivilent, man. Ie. £50 would be $100, or in this case that driver would be $400, or perhaps a smidgen less. $390, perhaps...

J-J,

You're obviously not going to get a decent offer from anyone here. The VAST majority of the gents and ladies on this site are well schooled in almost every avenue of club finding. Better said, you're high price is going to be questioned by anyone that takes the time to search out if they can get a better deal elsewehere.

I did a 10 second check on E-bay and found 4 drivers of the same spec, loft, shaft and condition to yours for $140USD or about £78 , with a 10USD shipping fee. You're asking double, plus.

I'm all for getting the best dollar for your equipment, and some people find it hard to part with something for so little, but the market has a high and low demand level. Unfortunately, your 983 isn't a highly demanded club right now, hence the low prices it's fetching.

No offense meant by this, or by anyone else that has posted here. You're just a bit uneducated about the market value of your club.

If you need some help, check E-bay or the PGA Value guide.

http://valueguide.pga.com/

This should bring you a little closer to what you should expect for your driver.

(Incidently, the Value Guide gives 104USD for a 983K in mint shape for resale value. That's about £58 FYI...)

Good luck in your sale,

R35

R35 - while I agree that this combo is a bit overpriced, I think you searched for 983K with Speeder, not the 757. Huge difference, not even close to the same shaft..

Now it is quite possible that this 983K comes with the stock Speeder for Titleist shaft by Fujikura and J_J thinks it's a 757

If the 983K indeed has the 757 in it, i'd say it would be worth somewhere around $200, give or take $20 (but I'm no expert)

VT,

The 983 does come with a stock Fuji, which is what I searched for. Unfortunately, I listed the price with the Speeder 757 shaft, which makes the stock Titty shaft even cheaper. It runs around $110USD instead of the $140USD I quoted.

Here's one with a Speeder:

Here's one with a stock shaft:

From my reading, the 905 is the more sought after Titty club these days. The 983 just doesn't have the value that it once did.

Too bad, decent driver.

Rock - I think you're missing my point.

The stock shaft IS Speeder (or atleast one of the choices)

The upgrade would be a Speeder 757.

The speeder link you posted was the stock speeder for titleist by fujikura, not the 757.

VT,

Here's one with a Speeder 757 upgrade.

I think we're on the same page, just not the same shaft.

The 983K w/ 757 Speeder is still $140USD Buy it Now. There are many makes of the 757, the Tour versions are the ones that pull big money. And if he had a Tour 757, he'd know it and want good money for it.

Even a newish R5 or R7 with a 757 is going for around 250.

There ya go, ya lazy bastard!

$140 w/ 757 Speeder.

You can get a 757 installed for ~200 bucks at most places now. And it's pretty obvious that shafts don't hold much value unless they're Tour or Proto.
