BOTH. I'm going to figure a way to carry both. If one misbehaves I'll go to the other.

THE REVIEW!!

LOOKS

No comparison. LyleG's work on the Maltby/BB Solutions is just one of the prettiest looking drivers I've ever seen. That chrome ion finish has to be seen in person. Pictures do not do it justice. The Maltby head also sets up very nice and square. The X460 Tour is a nice looking club. As nice looking as most OEM drivers.

FEEL

No comparison. The BB Solutions 130 shaft I is smooth as butter. I also hit the stiff flex in zaphod's. I've honestly never felt such a nice feeling shaft in all my 'hoing of drivers.

PERFORMANCE

This is the strange part. I hit both drivers better then I have anything else this summer. I "think" the X460 Tour "might" be a very tiny bit more forgiving but they are BOTH forgiving. And the Maltby/Solutions "might" be a little bit longer but BOTH are FOR ME very long. I truly believe they are as long as the Rapture. And I'm a happy camper...

Okay, now you can go ahead and crucify me... I know you're all just full of hilarious comments

OK, someone start the timer. Any guesses on how long it takes WBL to drop both of these and get another driver?

I sense an "eye of the storm" moment here. WBL WILL ho another driver. That much is as certain as rain in the Amazon. I just get the sense that he's going to lay low for a while, and really give these two drivers a fair test.

So I'm guessing two weeks...

Sure didn't take long for the "crucifixion" to start.....

And will I ever 'ho any more drivers? Of course. I enjoy doing that. But this time I won't part with these. That was the "flaw" in my past 'hoing.

Forgot to mention. I tried Wi-Golfers 10.5º Burner with reg flex NVS shaft yesterday. It wasn't bad. For me the loft was too high and the NVS in the Rapture I had was stiff flex so it was not quite "right" for my swing but is an okay club. Even if I tried one in the right loft and flex though I doubt it would be "better" then the two drivers in my bag now.

Wi-Golfer hits it good though so obviously it's right for him.

glad to see it went well - do you agree with the other comments about the Solution shaft (feels great but logo is kinda cheesy)?

Well, this is a new strategy by WBL. Instead of ho'ing an individual driver he went out and got a pair at the same time (well, sort of, would have been the same time if the mail worked like it was supposed to.) This may throw off the timetable a bit. Double the honeymoon period as its kind of like dating a set of twins? If I recall correctly, it was this time of year that he got the almighty Rapture and held onto it for 6-8 months as their season up in cheeseland is just about over.

hmmm.....

15:1 odds he keeps both drivers through December.
10:1 odds he ditches one by March 1, 2008.
4:1 odds WBL purchases a new driver by April Fools Day 2008.
2:1 odds WBL is still playing one of the two by May 1, 2008.
Even money that WBL has ditched both drivers and is playing a new one by June 30th 2008.

zaphod had the BB Solutions shaft in burgundy and I didn't like that nearly as well as the chrome ion. That is the prettiest shaft I've ever seen. And the logo looked fine on the chrome ion and maybe just a "little" cheesy on the burgundy but not really that noticeable.

Ualtim, I'm on 3-woods now. Shut up!!

Yeah, they were pretty cheesy!! How can you blow a 20-10 lead like that? Oh yeah, let Brett take the blame. Couple of fumbles by their rookie receiver that should have led to TD's didn't help. Disgusting! And how can the Badgers go from 5th to 19th? Something's wrong there.

I'm wide open as to 3-wood. Haven't got a clue what's good now since I've been using my ancient Adams for so long.

That Maltby with the chrome shaft is a beautiful club, shame to actually use it.

As far as the Badgers go, I agree with WBL, just wtf is with the drop of 14 places? They lose to a 5-1 team yet USC loses to what a 1-4 team & drops 8 spots. Total bs.

I don't know. I love the Badgers, but I never believed they belonged in the top ten this year. Look at who they've beaten:

Washington State (2-4)
Citadel (3-2, but who cares?)
Iowa (2-4)
UNLV (2-4, and they gave the Badgers all they could handle).

They were ranked top ten based on history, not based on this year's team. I think they should have been ranked 12th going into the Illinois game. Then the drop to 19th would have made more sense. Although I like the Coaches' poll ranking of 15th better. I don't think Hawaii should should be ranked ahead of Wisconsin. Nor should Kentucky. I think you could make the case that Illinois should still be ranked lower, even though they won the game. And I definitely don't think South Florida belongs at #5.
