Nah. I'm not going to do a review of these. You guys will just crucify me and the reviews anyway...

....after the honeymoon is over.

No no WBL, you got it all wrong, we only crucify you, not the review. We need your review to put up some ideas of our own hoing of drivers since you've tried every one out there

And im really lookin forward to ur review of the solutions.

Yah, you're right, I'll do one but REMEMBER. I haven't had good luck with alot of the popular clubs because I don't swing the same (good ). I've found the Rapture to be a tremendous club compared to most others and everyone else just finds it okay. If your swing looks like Tiger's and it's 110 mph probably disregard my reviews. If you're old and/or need some help take what I say to heart because I've only found a couple drivers I really liked that worked well for me and most of those seemed like everyone could hit them good. Some examples of those that are popular with good swingers that wouldn't work for me are: Launcher Comp, Geek (too light), TEE, 905R. Some that worked great for me (and seem to for most everyone) are the R580XD, and the Rapture. So I need something magic. I'll add the review to this thread Sunday or Monday after playing these clubs for 36 holes. I'm also going to hit Wi-Golfers Burner and he will hit these. So will sssmokin so the review will add some other golfers opinions besides my own. See you then....

Played 18 with both the Maltby/BB Solutions and X460 Tour with Tour Platform 26.3 stiff. Gotta play 18 tomorrow to be sure but strangely, I hit both clubs great. And so did sssmokin. I just crushed that Maltby and then picked up the Cally and 280 straight down the middle. I'm going to have a tough decision but put it this way. I don't need to buy a R580XD or Rapture now. Both of these clubs offer everything I got from those. More to follow.

That's because you aren't a true "ho". I have fun trying new drivers. The R580XD and Rapture aren't "new". I should have kept them, yes. And I'll keep these. Not keeping them was a mistake but the search for the ultimate driver will continue because I've seen such a difference between so many FOR ME.

Based on my miserable scores all summer (brought on by lousy drives and punching out from under trees mostly) I shot my summer low of 39 on the front nine and an 81 for 18 I have high hopes.

I'll keep these and move on to getting a good 3-wood.

Played with WBL at Wisconsin Shot talk open today. Thought his drivers were an improvement since I played with him last. On a couple of holes he really made the big dog bark. Long man out there. Not bad for a 60 y.o. gent out driving us puppies. Either club is a good choice. But like a true "ho" he has not chosen. Both drivers were in bag.

Longest drive I hit was with zaphod's G2 with BB Solutions 130 shaft. I crushed that thing.

THE REVIEW!!

LOOKS

No comparison. LyleG's work on the Maltby/BB Solutions is just one of the prettiest looking drivers I've ever seen. That chrome ion finish has to be seen in person. Pictures do not do it justice. The Maltby head also sets up very nice and square. The X460 Tour is a nice looking club. As nice looking as most OEM drivers.

FEEL

No comparison. The BB Solutions 130 shaft is smooth as butter. I also hit the stiff flex in zaphod's. I've honestly never felt such a nice feeling shaft in all my 'hoing of drivers.

PERFORMANCE

This is the strange part. I hit both drivers better then I have anything else this summer. I "think" the X460 Tour "might" be a very tiny bit more forgiving but they are BOTH forgiving. And the Maltby/Solutions "might" be a little bit longer but BOTH are FOR ME very long. I truly believe they are as long as the Rapture. And I'm a happy camper...

Okay, now you can go ahead and crucify me... I know you're all just full of hilarious comments
