TEE with BB Solutions (S)

OK, managed to hit a few with this new combo. The result, so far, nothing special.

I warmed up witgh a few 6 irons, hitting into a 10mph breeze. Then went through to the hybrid, scortched a few there and then hit a few nice 3 woods. After I felt warmed up I reached for the new big dog.

This is a stiff version, so I decided to jump on the first few.

1st shot - massive block right
2nd shot - massive block right
3rd shot - high hook
4th shot - a weak straight shot

Holy Moly, WTF??

I reached for the 3 wood and smacked a few up the middle, so I tried the driver agin, this time trying to swing in "real time", a bit smoother.

Hit 4 in a row quite well this time, nice flight, but not huge distance though. So this thing works better I figure with a smooth swing, but I felt like I was giving up some distance. I was actually hitting the 3 wood just shy of it.

After consulting Indacup I got the graphics aligned logo down. Not sure if this could make a drastic difference.

I will continue my expereimantation for a few more sessions before really making my mind up. I know I like the TEE head, maybe though the Limey is a better combo. Back in a while.

Thanks IG .. looks like you might've saved me a few bob, I was about to invest. From playing with you I would assume rightly that you have a far smoother (better) swing than me, so if yer smooth swing comes up short I'd hate to think what my lash would do ... thing I keep coming back to is that in general terms of shaft suggestion companys group the 110mph and over as x-stiff .. being borderline (109mph) I keep think the XS is punching above my weight...yeah yeah I know .. heavyweight

You'd be the first one I've heard of that didn't love this shaft. But maybe it doesn't function as well near sea level...

I was realy looking forward to hitting this shaft. And the thing is I felt I was hitting it OK with the hybrid and 3 wood. Just wasn't really getting any major distance off this thing with my TEE. I'll give it a few more trips to the lab before coming to any real conclusion.

perhaps you were just trying too hard? I know when I try to swing too hard my mechanics go out the window pretty quickly
I hate to admit it, but I actually pulled a muscle in my back during my range session with a demo Solution - I really enjoyed the feel of the shaft and had what I thought were pretty good results
When I compared the Solution to my fitted prolaunch on the launch monitor, the prolaunch had it beat by a few mph. I think the Solution was just a bit too stiff for me
It may just not be a good fit for you - I'm surprised you didn't love the feel though
Any chance the stiff flex was a little too much?

Thanks for the offer. I'm going to the range this week to figure it out. I'll try and get a few vids of the swing and I'll pm you with details.

Went to the range last night. Cold as hell so not ideal, but I got this TEE / BB Sols. going a bit better. Here's 2 swings, but I still don't feel that I'm getting the most out of this shaft. Ball flight was good, and I reckon this was going 230ish but as I said it was freezing and a strong l-r cross breeze, so it was hardly comprehensive.

Oh I was hitting the TEE 3 wood / Accra (extra stiff) very well. I think I like that shaft but imo it is a soft classification of extra stiff.

I would welcome any observations.

I would like to put these onto Swing Academy but it limits files to 7MB. Any idea how to compress / convert .AVI to another format that I can upload?

Im am not really able to analyze your swing, so I'm not really much help there, but I must say that those ball dispensers look pretty cool.

I'm not sure what the TEE head weighs but Indacup and zaphod worked out a tip weighting deal on zaphod's G2 and it's like D7 sw and a rocket launcher. So I had zaphod build one up for me like it since I hit it so nice.

Depends which Accra shaft....do you know which model it is?

I've played these both a couple times in Slo-Mo and really, everything looks good...except it looks like you might be releasing the head too soon...or on the early side...more wrist lag would get you better numbers and allow the shaft to work a bit more for you.

That swing looked darn good to me.

It has to be the cold weather. Yesterday I played 9 holes in 50°F weather, which sounds pretty balmy until you realize that is 40-50°F cooler than our summertime temps.

Anyway, the ball was going nowhere. On a 184 yard par three, I pulled out my 4 hybrid and hit it as solid as I ever have. Came up 10 yards short of the green. Pulled out the 3 hybrid and barely made the green, still 10 yards short of the stick.

On a par 5, I had 80 yards left to the pin, slightly uphill. Hit a 56° SW with ½ swing which should have been plenty, and came up 5 yards short. Hit the same club again for practise but ¾ swing and I was 3 yards long.

So 50°F makes about 1-1½ clubs difference for me.

I agree with you Doc. That's why I don't play in cold weather! My ego can't take it.

IG, I think the TEE is a fairly light head. Tip weighting the Solutions shaft might make all the difference in the world. It sure works good tip weighted 10 g. in the G2.

Maybe indacup could comment?
