TourSwing Avenger black shaft

Finally got to hitting better after my second trip to the range to where I feel resonably comfortable giving my views on this shaft in a CT250 Maltby 9.5º head. zaphod said this head might not be the best since the shaft goes in pretty deep and would stiffen it up.

First I hit the Sumo2. Straight, and long (for me). I don't know how accurate the yardage is and these were some pretty pukey range balls but I was carrying nearly to the 250 yard. This was my baseline as it was going dead straight, shot after shot.

Then I hit the G2 and WOW was I bombing that thing (again for me). Not as consistently straight as the Sumo2 but easily 10-15 yards farther then the Sumo2. This is about as far as I can drive the ball.

Whipped out the Maltby/Avenger combo and ho-hum... straight... and about 10 yards shorter on average then the Sumo2. FAR shorter then the G2. It probably is not the shaft and is just too stiff for me but it doesn't feel that good to me. Harsh or somethng.

This might be a great shaft for someone with a faster ss but for me it's only ordinary. Maybe I should have gotten it in ladies flex....

The Sumo2 is still in the bag unless there's a wide open course. If so, I'll carry the G2.

Oh yeah, no slices or balloon balls with any of these clubs...

.

King Par is an unknown quantity at this point
Damn, if I wasn't so in love with the Geeks right now I'd shoot you an offer. But the DCT is sooo solid. I love the 12*, but I'm going down to 10.5*.

Was your ball flight lower because of the stout shaft and obviously because of the lower loft?

I'm swinging good right now so ball flight was lower on all drivers but the Maltby was the lowest by far. Make me an offer... or trade me something
