You know, the scary thing about WBL's driver changes is that I notice some of the same things in similar models when I try them. What usually works for him, tends to work for me (as long as I get a degree or two lower loft.) When he was talking up the R5 TP with a Blueboard for a while, I got a steal of deal through Global Golf on one (which, of course, I still have) and after I modded it to my swing (44" playing length and spine aligned) I have hit some great drives with it. Never bagged it as it was similar to my TEE, but was hitting the snot out of it the other day at the range again. I never took the "Rapture Challange" for fear of actually having to pay for one, but the G10 starting out a $300 a pop should lead to some good deals in the second hand/overstock deals down the road.

Stop buying more drivers, damn it, I do not need any more temptation.

I hate to admit it but I like the G10 as well. Its a really nice head but I prefer a shallow face driver as I like to tee the ball extremely low. So how long till you dump this and begin longing to get it back

I did hear, by the grapevine, the USGA was considering a modification to the rules of golf. They are looking at the possibility of allowing 18 clubs, instead of the current 14. However, at least 5 of those 18 would have to be drivers. The rules change is only being considered due to WBL's pressure on the governing body.

Surely, you jest about looking at different putters. I thought the Redwood Anser was the "Holy Grail"!! Don't I remember the use of that same word, NEVER, when it was suggested the Redwood honeymoon might some day come to an end?

My X460 has lost its pizzzaaazzzz this season. In fact, it has been left in the truck the past three rounds. Can't hit it!! Don't like it!! Want it gone!!! After over two seasons of commitment to making a marriage with a driver work, I am serving her with divorce papers soon! Saw a pristine Rapture with a BlueByYou Proto in it this past weekend. Thought of you, WBL, and your brief love affair with the Rapture. Will, probably, hold out for a G10 or an FTi. Both have my interest piqued.

Hey limpalong!! I thought you disappeared! the Redwood Anser is going nowhere either. I love it but sometimes a brief switch once in awhile restarts a romance.. Absence makes the heart grow fonder etc etc You're playing a SC putter?

The Rapture is a great driver if the price is right. But if you hit a G10 you will not be able to walk away from it! And I never did get along with that X-460. She didn't like me at all.

I'm glad you found something you enjoy, I'm more glad you found somethign you enjoy that's the same as what I enjoy. I love the G10. I have the 7.5* but its a good club regardless of the loft. I pulled the stock shaft, just cuz I like the epic so much. Spin is minimal, I can fly it high or sting it, I liked it alot better than anything TM, Cally, or any of the others make

Thanks!!! I may have to sneak back to that shop, this week, and see if it's still available. Members' tourney this weekend. Hate to break in a new "toy". Have been playing the Hi-Bore 2 wood off the tee and scoring pretty well. I probably would have/should have picked up the Rapture when I saw it. But... there was also a good lookin' FTi sitting next to her. When you have to choose between two things of beauty, sometimes it's difficult. If I do snag the Rapture, I'll let you know how it works.

Thanks again!!!

Yes!!! (No, not Yes!!!... Scotty Cameron!) Picked up the Cameron around the first of the year. It's a one-year issue. The "MB" (mid-bend) was only stamped on the sole for one year's production. Found it relatively cheap, for a Cameron, and it really fit the eye. My putting has measurably improved.

I had struggled for the past couple of season on the greens. Have a number of nice Pings in the basement. Went through Odyssey's and Yes!!!'s and a Cameron of two until I found this one. I guess, like in the fairy tales, you have to kiss a bunch of frogs before finding a princess!!

Went to my wife's company picnic a couple weeks ago. They give away some extremely nice door prizes. Won a brand new Odyssey 2-ball and a dozen ProV's. The new 2-ball won't even see the inside of the bag. Will be used for trading fodder for the next driver! That's how confident I am with the Cameron that's in the bag!

They gave away over $7,000 in prizes. Used Bingo cards and everybody, including children, played. You could only win once and you were out. About 175 people attended the picnic. Grand prize was a trip to DisneyWorld. Lots of $250.00 Target and WalMart gift cards. A number of $100 to $300 Visa gift cards that could be spent anywhere. It is a fairly large optometrist firm so there were lots of Oakleys and Maui Jim's also given away.

If she ever quits working there, that's probably reason enough to end our 42 year marriage!!!!

Hit WBL's G10 today. It's the real deal. But my SQ's are still my club.
