My sons, (4 of them), are all playing with at least one or 2 clubs that I have discarded. They all kidded me when I bought my Scotty, funny though, each of them has taken me off to the side and tried to con me out of it. I tell them, sorry, this one won't be leaving the bag any time soon, never actually. I love the feel of it, and the look. It never fails to draw a comment from my playing partners when I pull it out and slip off the head cover. And even though my putting still leaves quite a bit to be desired, it's not the putter. And I am getting better, I'm confident enough that I have all my other putters listed in the classified section for sale. No, I may another Scotty as a collector piece, but this one is staying in the bag unless the next Scotty replaces it.

Only a Scotty Cameron Napa will ever be able to replace mine.....

but I could see myself getting a second, and different Cameron putter cover for my SD #2. Just for kicks. I'd like the 2006 British Open from Royal Hoylake in Liverpool, if I had my choice......

Such a great opening and you wasted it.

"Not until you pry if from my cold, dead fingers" is what you should have said.

I actually putt like shit with my Scotty.

I'm lights out usually with my TM Rossa Sebring3.

The Studio 1? Shit, I'm lucky to get by with two/three putts.

I almost broke 90 sunday. A mere goal I had since I started golfing seriously in May. I shot a 91, and guess what? I missed 4 birdie putts, numerous chances to save par, and I missed friggin' 6 putts from under 10ft.

I did this not once, but TWICE this weekend. One course, I won't blame the putter. The greens were the fastest I've ever in my life seen, and I couldn't blame them on conditions, because the greens and course were so perfect I couldn't pick out shit on 1 hand.

So I'm selling my scotty. Piss on it. Give me tried and true, and to hell with what the rest say.

If you aren't going to blame the putter why are you selling the Scotty? Seems to me like a contradiction here. The good news is that since your selling the scotty you should be albe to get at least what you paid for it back when you sell it. Unless of course you beat it to crap. The same cannot be said about almost every other piece of golf equipment.

A decent condition Studio Design #1 with a yellow SD headcover and the pivot tool should fetch $140 to $175. There is a smaller market for the SD 1 than for other Camerons. It is a very slim face, very bladelike, not much heel toe weighting (except for the toe flow putting some extra weight out there.. more for swinging gate effect and look at setup rather than creating a larger sweet spot).

There is a niche of the Cameron market/collectors who are looking for the classic (Studio Desings, Oil Cans, etc) Camerons, instead of the Anser recreations.

You will get decent $ for it. Good luck with your new stick, or return to your old one.

I won't blame the putter for the one course I played. The greens were just insane, and I have never in my life played on something like that. I would have had probably a tougher time using a lead plated 2X4 instead of a putter.

I used the putter 2 more times on the course I play regularly, and feel uncomfortable with it. I can't do anything with it. My stroke is off, and such.

I'm just gonna sell it anyways. I putt fine with my old putter, and I need a new driver more.

Taking my new-used Scotty to the toughest course in Indiana tomorrow. Purgatory Golf Club. We'll see how she does!

Purgatory Golf

No, I will NOT be playing from the 7,800 tips, the longest non-mountain par 72 in the world, thanks. The 6,800 Black tees look tasty to me. I've putted on the practice green before, fast as lightening with elephants buried just below the surface.... fun as hell.

From the tips it's near 7,800 yards as I previously posted, and the slope is 143 from there.

I'll be playing TWO sets of tees forward from the tips, at 6,800+ and the slope from there is 131. I played Bethpage Black, but this course will probably surpass it in toughness. I played B Black a few years before the Open and it was extremely tough, but not quick Open tricked out yet.....

I would post a photo or two of Purgatory, but I do not want to tempt the golf gods in the least. With hole names such as "Hell's Half Acre" "The Centaur" and "Blinding Cloud of Smoke" well... would you tempt fate?

Exactly... 12 missed 10 footers, and 12 little combackers (4 of them missed on the low side = 28 total) with that piece of S Ram putter!!

That performance simply cannot be compared with sinking 15 twisting, side-hill double breakers for birdies and pars that were all center-cut, none of them less than 20 feet btw, and then a 9 putt on 17 and a 4 putt on 18 to make 28 total putts with the Cameron.

The nerve of this guy. Thinks he's some Amatuer Champion or something.

Hahaha.

I relent that if you feel the confidence over it, it will help. I still love using my Scotty.
