FootJoy's

Wow, I had never really dished out for a nice pair of Shoe's but let me tell you it's worth it. I have been using a pair of Nike shoes... pretty nice but my feet would always start to wear down near the end of 18. So I decided to take the plunge and pick up a nice pair of FootJoy Contours. They are about mid range in the FootJoy scale but what a difference it made.
If anyone out there is have the same dilemma I was, take the plunge and get a nicer more comfy shoe. It's worth it.

I've got three pairs of these shoes. I swear by them. I have bad heels and any shoe, golf or otherwise can cause bad blisters. My pro recommended these to me four years ago as a result.

I still have that four year old pair and have bought two more in different styles. The oldest pair has about 80 rounds on them and they are still going strong...showing some wear but by no means ready for the trash bin. I have replaced spikes a couple of times and that is it...

I have paid about $75 USD for each pair and they are really worth it...why pay more??

I just got new spikes for my Dryjoys. I picked up a pair of Adidas but I swear they have been causing my lower back to hurt after walking all day in them. I've worn them 4 rounds and had pain after every one. Not that they are the cause but my ballstriking has been rather crappy while wearing them too. Of course once I have that in my head I guess I've now made them part of the problem.

The Contour is a different design from the DryJoy. A stubstantial change in the way the shoe is constructed around the foot. The Contour is a sneaker/tennis shoe disguised as a golf shoe. It has heavy padding around the ankle and below the foot...next time you are in a retail store...give me a close look or try them on...

The Dryjoys are great. That's why I picked up the new spikes, that and there are some soggy days coming up. The Adidas are the ones that suck. I may try some sole insersts (gellin) if I wear them again. I wore the Dryjoys for most of last year and they are still in great shape. I may polish them up a little for next round. I bought the Adidas only because I wanted a black pair, (and they were only $39) I wish I had just spent the extra for Footjoys.
