R35's Launcher Ti460 Review

Okay, I think most of you know I traded Rock for his "hammer" after he fell in love with the new HiBore. It's 8.5º loft (2º open face from a Cleveland demo van?) and has a stiff Grafalloy Blue shaft and is made for a gorilla. R35 routinely hit this club over 300+ yards.

I went to the golf dome in Milwaukee today so finally got to swing it. It took about 1/2 hour to get back to some resemblence of a swing but then I took a crack at this. The dome is not made to allow full trajectory, you just hit the wall about 100 yards away. But you can tell if you are slicing, hooking or just plain muffing the shot.

I actually was able to get the ball airborne with this thing! The trajectory was a bit lower then my 9º Rapture. This low loft also makes it less forgiven to where I can get a little tail or hook on it if I'm not swinging right. Shows my errors more. I know I won't hit this near as far as my Rapture since the trajectory for me is lower then optimum but I can crow about being able to launch the ball.

Hey R35! Have I got a driver for you!

Yes, I probably will. It's a beautiful club but all wrong for me. I'd make sure R35 doesn't want it back first but if not it will be for sale. I really wanted it to work too..

Somebody pick this up. This is a phenomenal driver. If you're a high ball hitting guy now, this is right up your alley.

Ez, I'm looking at you. This would be a deadly setup for you.

Nah. I've got my setup... R5TP 10.5 with the Rombax, R510TP with the 757X and I still have a little R5TP tour-issue head kicking around... holding out for the right shaft at the right price... Can you say C-R-E-A-T-I-O-N.
