shaft question

I am thinking of getting a new driver, my one is a cheap beginers club. I am thinking of going for the mx 500 (mizuno) trouble is i dont know which shaft to go for, regular or stiff? aldila? nv65? pro launch? exsar50(standard for club). Can anyone give me some advice please, i would go and try them out but the place i use has no mx500. cheers.

We would love to help you out, but will require a bit more information about your swing/ball flight. The ideal way to fit yourself into a new shaft would be to get properly fitted, preferably with the aid of some kind of launch monitor so that you can see the changes each shaft provides. If that is not available to you, some reference numbers such as swing speed or carry sidtance, ball flight, where your misses go, shaft preferences (whippy, board stiff, etc) and weight preferences would help some of the shaft experts on the board suggest a shaft for you to try out.
