I've decided to not ho anything for the next 8 months. You heard me.

Short of maybe the odd shaft to try, every club in my bag is a gamer. I currently have two drivers, and no other extra clubs (well, my Mp-30 3 iron and PW) in my stable.

Here's the deal. I want you guys to hold me to this. Hoing is a disease that you can't escape from easily. I'm gonna need some support, some people to send PM's when I start to shake.

I'll let the poll decide where I'm gonna turn.

Ez, Andy, IG, Manchester, I'm gonna need your help the most. Only us that have gotten as low as the floor of a taxi cab can really know what it feels like to have boat loads of perfectly good sticks go through our grasps and then get punted out the door for almost no reason other than curiousity and stupidity.

And everyone else, any help would be appreciated. This is like giving up heroine.

I think it is a risky claim given the rapid advancement of today's technology, but then again you've always been smart enough not to be the first guy to buy a new item (minus the HiBore XL Tour ). So in short, while I may not ho-heartedly agree, I respect your wishes.

I did go over a year without buying anything before my latest driver so it can be done. I had the shakes for a while but it can be done. As short as your season is you'll need that time to get used to all the clubs you've bought anyway.

I got your back mate. I keep thinking the same thing myself. I just need to settle on a driver and then I'm with you. I'm happy with my irons, fairway, putter(s), rescues & bag just need that driver.

Ho'd a couple today...firstly a BB454 with Aldila NVS. I ho'd this because I hit one with a stiff V2 and it felt horrable but went miles, so when I saw this with no bids and an hour to go I couldn't resist, http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...5279&rd=1&rd=1

The good news is I off loaded a lot of clubs last week including the FTi, I transfered £300 to my bank account and got these with the change.

I'll help when I can but I think the shaft exception is pretty weak. I can see it already...

i voted for having your back but there is only so much words can do when the urge strikes you.

i dont consider myself a ho although the otherday when talking golf with a friend i told him i bought an FT-3.

his response was "didnt you just buy a 580xd at the begining of last season and say how much you liked it and where not buying another driver for atleast 3 yrs.?"

my response was i didnt bowl this season so i couldnt buy my usual 2 new bowling balls for the season.

he said dude you got a problem.

next yr i plan on bowling again (to hell with the doc) so i might get thre next season without buying anything.
