OK, I want an R7 425!

I demoed one today at the club and I fell in love with it, the feel off the face was great and I like the look at setup. I checked Global Golf and they have a good bit of em in stock including one with a 757 S flex in great shape for about 160. I nedd to know how much is reasonable for a club like this. Some of you ho's help me out and tell me if that is a good price or if I can do better. If anyone has one for sale let me know.

Same boat as you bro, seems like a good price, there all right around that and with free shipping, cant beat it. However, dont be afraid to spend more to get the loft, shaft, etc that you want, when dealing with drivers whats $30?

With the R7425's it's all about finding a condition you are comfortable with, right loft and a shaft you want. I've bought 2 drivers from GG and they were 2 star condition. Both were in excellent used shape, solid 8 condintion. You can't beat that one with free shipping and the 757. I almost bought it myself. GG is the best bet for Taylormade stuff, even on Ebay you'll have to pay shipping and end up at the same or higher cost. Make sure you if you buy one from them that you click to GG through the link at the top of the page. Then ST gets credit, not sure what that means but Roberno always tells me to use the link.

I absolutely love my 425, even more than my 460 now.

I tried a 460 as well, but I just didn't get the same feel off the clubface and it didn't have the control of the 425.

Its not about control, its also about forgiveness

You need to ask yourself how many times on the course, not the range, you hit the screws. If you are inconsistent the 460 is the beast to go for

I actually prefer the shaft-clubhead makeup of the Blue Tour and the 425 Head, it works perfectly for me.

Pretty sure it's a Tour Spec, real Speeder. Definitely wouldn't be a Titleist. They have an 800# on the site so you could call and ask too. Really nice guys there. I got an R5TP that had an Accra T60 in it. That's a pretty nice shaft for $110, not to mentinion the head was in really nice shape. With GG you know what you're getting and you get it for a really good price. If anyone plays TM or Nike they have to be the 1st place to look and more than likely will be the last as well.

I'm very consistent "hitting it on the screws". Before I got my Rapture I hit the R7 460 neutral A LOT on the launch monitor. I was all over the place. Worst club I tried in regard to consistency, shot to shot. I know everyone is different but just mentioning my experience with it. The top 3 drivers I found after 3 hours on the monitor were (my order and I understand others will be different)

#1 Rapture 9º NVS stiff

20 yards past #2 and #3 in carry distance and just as straight as the HiBore (almost)

#2 HiBore 9.5º UST V2 stiff
#3 FT-3 9º neutral NVS stiff

The rest were far down the line either in carry distance or shot dispersion.

I had a TM R580 with the standard shaft that would have been probably #4 on this list, ahead of some of the $400-500 clubs I tried. I got that before my miserable last summer of driver ho'ing and dissatisfaction and for the money you can hardly beat it. So I realize there are good TM drivers. It's just so confusing and expensive to find the right one.
