callaway shafts

can I adapt a .350 callaway shaft to a .370 head??? still looking at some hybrids.....don't like the callaways but I have never found a firm shaft that replicates how the callaway plays......any ideas??

You can shim a .350 into a .370, easily.

Try tipping a regular shaft. That will make it play more like the "firm" that Callaway offers.

I will warn you now, however, that Cally OEM shafts are all over the map in terms of flex and feel. So trying to get something exactly the same might be tough.

If i could suggest a couple of shafts that might play closer to that feel (from my experience with the BB, GBB, GBBII (two of them) and a couple fairways), I would go with:

Graphite Design YS-5+ or YS-6+
Aldila NVS
Fujikura Pro Platform

Good luck,

thanks for the info rockford

all of the callaway woods I have ever had were firm shafts and were perfect. I have tried to emulate that with some other woods (titleist, taylor made) but just couldn't find a shaft that had the same feel

it looks like I am gonna try to pick up some hybrid heads or steel shafted hybrids cheap and have them reshafted to what I want.

I am just still undecided on what I want......the J33 is sweet but I want a 23* and not a 21*.......so looks like the mizuno or nickent ironwood maybe the way I end up going

for a 22* I mean you can definetly pick up a Nike. Nike in all means but I honestly dont know how a callaway person would like them. There just seems to be his destined hatred between cally and nike.

If you mean me and my Nickents, no. I paid $112 with the shipping from the source you gave me. If you know where to get the 3DX DC Ironwood with the graphite shaft for that it's a steal!! Most places are "out of stock" on Nickents now there in such demand.

JEFF4i
Alot of dealers stock the Callaway drivers with NVS shafts. It's a great shaft and "probably" a great combo with a FT-3 or FT-5. Hmmmmmm.....
