bridgestone j33 3 wood

Anyone here have one of these? What are everyone's opinions on the club?

I have heard a ton of great reviews about the club, but never actually seen or been able to hit one, but really really want to. If anyone knows of where I could get one for a reasonable price let me know. Also any opnion and how it plays vs. other leading fw woods would be appreciated.

Got one of these and I absolutely love it!

It feels similar to the VSteel but it is a little harder to hit. However, it is longer than the VSteel, quite a bit longer. I replaced my VSteel with the a J33.

When up against a SS-2.5, you'll find the J33 better off the tee as it is a bit taller. Off the deck it is pretty much a push as the shallower SS gets the ball airborne easier but the J33 offers more forgiveness. Although, I play my 15* J33 at 42.5" and my SS was 43"...

As for pricing, I picked mine up, new, from TGW for 140 USD. I'm sure they can be picked up for less on ebay...

eBay: Bridgestone J33 NV 75-S Aldila 15 degree 3 wood NEW (item 200084986727 end time Mar-07-07 04:58:50 PST)

eBay: BRIDGESTONE J-33 3 WOOD ALDILA N-V S GREPHITE IDA10 (item 220088208572 end time Mar-09-07 21:59:04 PST)

Hey Sandpiper, let me know how you like it. If you get it that is. I'm in the market for a 3w myself. Have you tried the 906F2 yet? The Callaway's have made some noise as well.

Dont worry your pretty little head 19, as soon as I find something better it's off to you

So far the ideas are:
Bridgestone J33
Cleveland Launcher (original launcher fw wood)
Callaway X-Tour
Sonartec SS 2.5 (yet to prove itself)
Then maybe:
Adams RPM
Titleist 906F2

When you find one you like pls let me know what it is. I seem to love everything off the tee, but hate them from the deck. I like the look of the Launchers since they seem very low profile, which I like

If I end up switching away from my sonartec, you should give it a go. With its low face and the fuji tour platform shaft its super easy to get airborn, even otd. The biggest thing for me is that its too high and just hits and stops, i need something more boaring. Hopefully that'll be accomplished with the PI, if not, off she goes

Just curious, why no 906F2? I've heard great reviews, even from the older model 904.

I don't like the 904 seems to heavy for me for a FW, and while the 906 looks nicer, it just doesn't make the short list.

Fair enough. I'll be trying the J33 as well. Hopefully hit the shop up later this week. That club seems to have the best "value" with comparable performance from what I've read.
