I can't get it up!

I'm in the market for a new five wood. First, a little background. I am a seven handicap, my swing speed is 105, and I am a low spin, low ball hitter. Hitting fairway woods off the deck is probably the worst part of my game.

I am looking for a fairway wood that launches easily from the turf, yet has a players look and a square to open face. My Titleist 906 is very hard to hit off the fairway.

Was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on what to try. Thanks, Jon

Adams low profile tour would be a good option.....callaway x series tour might be good as well.

If you can find them, Tour Edge Bazooka JMAX Carbons. Rockbottomgolf.com has some in reg flex for like $50, but they are almost out of all the stiff shafted ones.

These are by far the easiest launching fairway woods I have hit off of the turf, too bad they do not make them any more.

Cleveland Launchers or Callaway Steelhead III's are the two highest launching fairways I've ever played or demo'd. Hands down.

Both are dirt cheap too.

Sonartec SS-2.5s are being blown out every as well. Last I checked, Rockbottom had them for under 100 bucks. They're easy to get in the air off the deck but are also very workable (ie. not all that forgiving...).

Have you ever hit the NP-99? If so, how do they compare?

What Rock your not pimping the TEE. I just got a Tour Edge Exotics 3w and it came with a NV65 I was hitting it a little low so I put in a NVS 75 and I’m almost hitting it too high off the deck. It’s a new club so I can’t give you a full review yet only hit it 1 time outside at the range but I was just crushing it noticeably longer than my Cleveland Launcher 3W.

The TEE Fairways are the bomb. Just a tad bit expensive and quite frankly, almost too long. Did you get the CB or CB2?

SS 2.5 great stick and with the shaft in it (fuji tour platform 26.3) it launches the ball up in the air. Im not sure if im guna keep mine... Found it a lot more forgiving then the np-99 and also way easier to work (if you need to).

Mines brand new, except only markings at all is some ball marks on the sweet spot. pm me if your interested.

Try sitting in a darkened room and stare closly at my aviator it works for me!!!

If you like the looks of your Titleist then why not try reshafting with a Grafalloy blue ProLaunch or maybe a NVS as suggested by Gunning.

I do like the look. Do you think the shaft would raise the flight that dramatically?

What flex are you playing, Clugnut? Would that have any effect at all?

I have a Grafalloy ProLaunch R-flex with a brand new Golf Pride Decade Multicompound grip if you are interested.

Otherwise, demo a Nike SQ 19* 5-wood. I had similar problems with fw until I purchased this. I never thought I would play a Nike club, but it is very easy to hit of the deck.

Stiff flex Pro95 by Titliest. Odd thing is, I hit my old 980F with an S300 higher. I just can't hit the new one with the way the sole is relieved. I thought that I'd like it since I'm a sweeper, but I just am way too inconsistent.
