NVS or V2 in r7 425 TP?

Well, I got a job today, so i can safely take money out of my account without fear of having to file bankrupcy and claim welfare. So, should I give the NVS a shot? It seems im identical to rock in all my likes/dislikes. I did like the V2, but i really want to try the NVS, what would be the differences between the two?
I may end up going and hitting some clubs with the NVS just to feel the shaft, then buying.

Make sure that it's a real NVS tho. The made for OEM ones from Cally, Ping, TEE, they're all crap. Try a FT-3 Tour with a real one, it's the real deal. Or a HiBore.

I say V2. Oh and can I get the Reax-Rombax pull off you? My big question is why you would pull out a stock shaft that is an exact spec of a $400 shaft for a $79 one.

Actually I'll gladly take all the shaft's out of those TP's and buy you a V2 and an NVS, then you can choose. lol.

Because a $400 shaft ain't worth squat if you can't hit it worth a damn.

Money means nothing in golf.

Sorry R35, but you're wrong about the made for OEM ones when you bring up Ping. The TM, TEE, Adams and most others are junk. My Ping NVS has no Ping name on it whatsoever and in fact was a special order from the factory. Apparently someone (shopping at the store I bought it from) ordered it and backed out and I got lucky and snapped it up. You won't find many Raptures around with the NVS unless they were special ordered. The G5 driver I had last summer had the Graf ProLaunch in it and there was no Ping named on the shaft. Ping has their own shaft. When a customer wants one of their other options it's the real thing. Actually my brother's SQ has a ProLaunch in it with no Nike name on it...

Standard Ping Rapture shaft options:
PING : Metal Wood Shaft Options

Ping WRX custom options:
http://www.pinggolf.com/pdfs/wrx2007.pdf

After saying that, last summer I tried every shaft made (well not quite) and there were none better (for me) then the NVS. It's just a fantastic shaft.

The V2 is okay but I hit that higher then the NVS...

Maybe so but the Reax-Rombax has about 100times the technology and design as the V2 or NVS. NVS is 3 yr. old technology. I am recommending he try out the Rombax before yanking it for a way cheaper shaft. The TP costs $400 or whatever for a reason and that shaft is one big, big reason.

And Stenson won with a $50 Graf Blue with technology dating back how far (stole that from R35 in another thread)? The V2 technology dates back 3 years or more. Ezra, have you ever hit a driver with the NVS shaft? I think R35 likes this shaft also...

I think some of the "initial" production ones out to the dealers had them but Ping has their own shaft and if you look at the Ping site (GOD FORBID!!) the NVS is special order now.

see links in previous post...

Yes and I didn't like it. I liked the NV better. V2 is nice also. Have you hit a Rombax? I don't want to bash anyone elses favorites but they guy should give the big $$ shaft the club comes with a shot before pulling it for a cheaper one. In the same price range as the TP Rombax is also the TP Diamana blueboard. There is another option. The TPVP's that come stock in the fairways are also an awesome setup.

Oh, also the Superquad has the VS-Proto TP logo coming and I hear the new Rombax-X shaft will also get a TPlogo. So there is some crazy stuff coming soon.

Let's face it. You have to find the shaft that works for you on your own. What works for Ezra (and what he likes) is totally different then what works for me (and what I like). This would also probably be true with you. R35 and I "sometimes" agree on some shafts and since he's kind of like a "Yoda" to me (he he) and is "learning" me about shafts I don't think I know enough to argue with him. Ezra on the other hand just needs to be argued with.

Give that shaft a good go first, but if that doesnt workout, look to some cheaper shafts. Graf blue, NVS, both amazing shafts. My Graf bimatrix is amazing, to me, whereas a lot of ppl really hate it, and i also have a PI and diamana on the way which i cant wait to give shots at.

Just look at an array of shafts, but look at the shafts of a year or two years ago, still amazing shafts, but can be had for 50$ at most.
