Cool Fujikura E360

Has anyone tried this shaft before? Could you please compare the characteristics of this shaft to some that are already in the market? Thanks.

This is the standard shaft on the new FT5 Tour. I demo'd it a couple of weeks ago and didn't really like it to be honest, it felt like an NV to me?

The shafts spec's are on this link;-

Thanks for the reply. I see that you are currently using VS Proto. How does that differ from the NV or E360? VS Proto has lower torque compared to both NV and E360 so does it feel harsher or stiffer? Thanks.

I actually choose the Rapture with the VS Proto over the Cally FT5 with E360 on that night at the range 2 weeks ago. The VS Proto just felt like it unloaded a lot better for me than the E360 did in the FT5, it went futher and straighter for me. The VS felt more like the NVS than the NV to me?

Since then the Rapture has broken and it's been sent back to Ping and I've ordered a FT5 Tour with ProLaunch as that is imo the best shaft combo for the FT3 Tour.

I am actually planning to buy the FT-5 Tour as well but there is no optifit system in this country. So I have to buy it based on reviews which really sucks. Are you using VS Proto 60? What kind of launch and spin does that shaft have? I haven't tried the NVS either. But did try the NV on Titleist 905R and I didn't like it... Probably because it was a bore through...

ProLaunch is a low kick and low torque shaft right? Have you also tried GD 6+? Trying to get a right shaft on the FT5 since I screwed up on my 905R.

Also how did you like the FT5? Is it really worth the $ and all the hype that it is getting? Thanks.

I really wanted to get the FT5 Tour, that's what I was going for, but they only had one with the E360 and I really didn't get on with that shaft. I've had about half a dozen FT3 Tours with a host of different shafts NVS, V2, YS6+, Grafalloy Blue Tour & ProLaunch. I found that for me the ProLaunch was the best combo with the FT3 head & I'm hoping it will be as good (for me) in the FT5. I play off 8 and have a fast tempo and give it my all on every swing and find the ProLaunch responds the best for me.

Thumbs down VS Proto

Sorry last question. Could you elaborate more on the VS Proto please? Thanks a bunch.

I've been very impressed with that shaft. I have used it in the Ping Rapture and in an Adams Idea Pro 1h. It responds very well to an aggressive swing and provides a good mid to high trajectory. The NV is like a cheese eating surendor monkey and the VS has a back bone more like the NVS which is also a good shaft in the right head/hands.
