Putter Ho's - New site

Putter Swap - main

I've got no connection, but because of the guys involved in this site it could have some staying power. It opened last week & will be a great source in time.

That '98 Experimental proto. looks pretty sweet. Any of your's on there? You have one you were selling, in 3X black I think it was,a while back? Did you ever sell that one? I've been lurking and ogling various putters in the 350g range, Mills, Bettenardi, Guage and Camerons. I'll be considering transitioning a new stick in sometime this season.

Thanks Wirehair.

Arrrgghh. Nice putter, if only I wasn't playing everything over 1" as it is... definitely too short. I'm pretty darn sure 34.5" is about what puts me in good position over the ball, right elbow bent and to right side. Keeps 'em online anyway and decent speed control. I tried a 34" and it had me reaching and too far over the ball, I'd have to make changes to get consistant with it.

I Just got a Bettinardi Miz C03H with a 345g head yesterday. I love the feel of the Bettinardi and last night I was stroking it good on my putting mat making almost every putt. Then I had the bright idea to get out some range balls to see how I was rolling them. I was disappointed to see that I wasn’t getting every ball to roll end over end every time, the line was wobbling slightly maybe once every five puts. So I got out the old Teardrop to compare and sure enough I could roll the teardrop better. I was getting a little frustrated to say the least, almost freaking out over the fact that I just spent 175$ on a putter that I couldn’t roll better than my 40$ teardrop. I stayed up until midnight to figure it out. I moved the ball back in my stance just a hair maybe an inch and sure enough got the ball to roll better. I didn't go to bed until I got 15 in a row to roll perfect. I figure it must have something to do with the offset. The teardrop has a full shaft of offset maybe a little more and the Bettinardi has a half. Didn’t mean to hijack the thread but what the heck were talking putters.
