TM 320 to 905R to 905S

I was playing a while ago with my trusty TM 320 and got up to a long par 5 (600+) over at TPC Craig Ranch and I seriously wanted to hit this thing in two since I was confident in my 3 wood to hit it 270 off the deck. My game plan was to rip my TM 320 as hard as I could, I hit my shot and it does some weird knuckle ball duff and the club sounds like I hit a rock off the tee. Everyone that I was playing with commented on how weird that was. I examined the 320 and noticed some cracks in the face of the club so I was kind of tweaked. No big deal Ill pick one of the other drivers I have in the back of the truck at the turn. I decided to pick up #2 and it was the 905R and the large head seemed to distract me most of the time off the tee but it was ok.

I went home and compared my 905R, 905S, and 320 side by side and noticed that the 905S head was comparable in side as the 320, the 905S is much taller but it is not as noticible at address. I then decided to drop back in the stock Stiff Speeder and a D4 swing weight so I can get it more of a feel like my 320 untill I can find another 320 on ebay. Since I was involved in the house so much i kept forgetting to buy another 320 so I have been playing with the 905S for a while and am pretty happy with it. I might pick up another 320 and try a VTLT in it but not quite sure yet.

A 270 yard 3 wood from the fairway, mighty nice.

I hit my 3 wood about 230 yards from the deck, and I'm really happy when it goes straight. Getting old is a bitch.

Do you know the difference between a BMW and a porcupine? The porcupine has its' pricks on the outside.

If you end up interested in getting rid of the R head id be interested. I love my S, but i may be able to pickup a little more forgiveness and a little straighter ballflight with a bigger driver.

Just need a 460cc to fiddle with

Maybe, I dont know how many people would be interested in a 9.5 905R with a 757 Speeder X stiff 44" @ D4.

Usually I am about 250 carry off the deck but I was feeling confident i would get 20 yards of roll. Too bad I was about 470 yards off for my second shot. I wound up paring the hole, not to bad considering my tee shot barely broke 100 yards and the holes yardage was 604.
