What should I expect from a Spinner 5.5?

I lost my rag on Friday and damaged the shaft on my Gap wedge I was pissed off with a bald lie at the side of the green just because they won't build cart paths, so where you'd expect rough or semi rough it's bald. This means instead of being able to slide a wedge right under the ball you have to clip it of with a lower lofted wedge or run the risk of blading it.

Anyhow I purchased a 5.5 Spinner on Ebay to put in there. How will this play compared to the standard wedge flex shaft?

It will increase spin (duh ), but it will also increase height on your ball flight. Look for shorter, easier to control wedge shots. Personally, i never swing more than 3/4 with my wedges, and it's done me well.

My whole wedge lineup is 5.5 Spinners.

I thought they had a high kick point? Wouldn't that produce a lower ball flight?

Shouldn't really noticee that in a wedge, though. I had one in a wedge but can't remember what one at this present time. It was brill, though..

The 5.5's have a mid kick point, but the spinners are designed for a bit higher flight with more spin. I am not 100% positive, but I do believe that the spinners have a softer tip section than the standard Rifle's helping with that increased spin/trajectory.

Great shaft.

Yep, bang on.

ANd yes, they are terrific.

I'm wondering tho, if a tipped Black Gold would be the way to go (for a .370 wedge).
