E6

Who's used it and what do you think? I used one today and here's what I think. Not the longest ball I've hit but it's got decent length. Feels really good off the wedges and putter, very controllable. What impressed me the most is how it stopped on the green. Not that I hit that many today but on a 184yd. uphill par 3 I smacked a low 5iron pull-draw that just made it over 10ft. high at it's highest point. I thought for sure it would rocket off the back as it went over the hump of the greenside bunker onto the green. I get up there fully expecting a downhill chip with my SW out of the rough and to my amazement that sucker must have pulled the emergency brake upon landing. No more than 5feet from where it landed.

Most importantly, I still have it. A ball that doesn't get lost is a good ball IMO.

Have not played the e6 ... yet. Have played the e5 which is the high flying version. It was a decent ball good fele on both driver and putter, with decent bit on the greens.

Can't wait for the courses to open!!!

Yeah, that's what the Bridgestone guy had told me. I like the ProV1 X over the reg. ProV because I hit it a bit longer, seems better in the wind and a little less spin off the PW/GW. The E6 seemed pretty comparable to an NXT IMO. Lots of good balls out there now, I've been impressed by a few of these 2 piecer's. Especially since my striking has improved and I'm generating a lot more iron spin. I want to try out the D2 and figure out which of these Nikes is which. I played a few Speed + Feel or something that were actually very good.

Best Nikes I ever played are the Distance + Sft becaue they came 24 for $20 jajajaja! but the best nike by far is the NOB. Get the 06 model for like $25-30 now and it beats the 07 out of the water.

The e5 flys higher so if you need that it is a good ball. Have you tried the Srixon ZURS. I played a couple last year and they were very good. Not quite the Pro V but very close. They are worth a try...
Some people have comments on their durability but that was not my experience. They held up just as well as any ball that I have played

I got my first ace last summer with an E6. Great ball. And the E5 is just as good. I can't tell much difference between the two actually, even though one is 2-piece and one is 3-piece. Both hold up as well as any ball I've played.

I played the ZURS in Kentucky but a little too much spin for me. It's a great ball. I'd opt for the ZUR if I bought more. But you're not comparing apples to apples here. The E5 and E6 cost $24 a box. The ZUR costs $39 a box.

The ZUR and the ZURS are significantly better balls, IMO. I found the E6 to be hard with not much feel/touch.

Try the Srixon. It might be the most underrated ball on the market right now (bare in mind that I haven't hit any of the D2's yet).

I just pulled that E6 out and washed it all off. My god it took a beating. Major cuts and scuffs and even pulled a tiny pebble out of the cover... no wonder I 3 jacked 18. I had a similar experience with the AD 333. I destroyed it after a few 120yd. gap wedges, half the cover was in my wedge grooves. lol.

In it's defense I did throw it in a deep bunker a half dozen times while waiting for a 4some to get well ahead. Full SW swings tend to rip any ball up. Can't say I'd spend the $$ on new ones. Especially when the 1black and B330 are only a few bucks more. I might try a dozen 1blacks, I get paid tomorrow and saw them for $29.99 at the shop. They have the one golds also. What's the diff. ? Gold=more spin, lower compression?

A 15 foot putt tears the cover off an AD-333.

EZ, if you like the Pro V1X, golfsmith still has some 2006 B330s for $29.97.

Yeah, they have them for the same price at the shop I go to also.

I just looked to see what I had in my "ball bag" and found I still have quite a few premium balls in good shape. Still have nearly 2 dozen ProV1's but only 2 X's. I just pulled out a half dozen NXT Tours and I think I'll try them for a few rounds. I think sticking with the same ball is a good idea. I have trouble with my short game when I start switching around too much. Think I'll hit a few hundred putts with the NXT tours on my mat here before I head out. Wind is nasty right now though, think I'll be hitting plenty of hybrids and knockdown 5irons into par 4's.
