Thread: Srixon Loaded Up!!!

  1. Srixon Loaded Up!!!

I just noticed in the Masters tourney that there are a HUGE number of pros (and good ones) playing for Srixon. Have they been "loading up" lately? Last I paid attention to, their main player was Furyk...

I'm no expert on this subject but I was talking to the Srixon rep a few weekends ago and he was telling me that they had been making a LOT of headway in to the PGA Tour the past two years and that this season was gonna be a 'banner year' as they got a lot of 'top players', both with clubs and balls. Said something along the lines of 3 of the top 5 money earners were using the balls? Of course that was a rep, so a grain of salt may be in order.

Took a few swings with some Srixon irons and they seemed like they were pretty damn nice. Above my ability and wallet level though, lol.

  5. ...Henrik Stenson, and Tim Clark are on the staff also. I play their forged irons and wedges and have hit most forged irons on the market.....none are better than the Srixons. If they would bring their whole line up of clubs to the U.S. they would be one of the top few companies IMO.

  9. I'm going to have to try a few of the Zur-S. I've heard they may be smack in between a ProV and 1X? I love the 1X off the driver and the wedges are pretty darn good too. Would like just a little bit sofer feel off the putter and for chip shots though.

  11. I love the Srixon WG 504 wedges. They are the best feeling wedges that I have ever hit. The rest of their prodicts are fine, but none of them really felt that much better than any other company's offerings with the exception of their wedges.

If you get a chance, give the 504's a test run.

I've been saying that for a long time. Maybe something with some short game cred will get folks to listen. I'm selling my Srixon irons, and my Srixon driver, but I don't think I'll ever consider getting rid of my wedges.
"Maybe he could sell it on Ebay, say it looks like the Virgin Mary, Sergei Fedorov, or Leno."
