My Wedge Has No Soul! (I wish I could Spell)

I am pretty happy with my 48* CPR PW. Full Swing, about 100 yds, narrow stance pitch, about 90 yds. I have the Nike 52*. I can't hit it to save my life. I can hit the Pinemeadow SW OK, still not as well as the CPR.

The big differences seem to be that the CPR is a bit heavier, it has a bigger face and it has a much wider sole.

The CPR corrects for miss hits very well.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a 52* wedge with an oversized face and a wide sole?

If I could find a 48* CPR PW, could I get the shop to bend it to 52*?

King Cobra C wedge? Even the mid-sized sole on that would put it closer to game improvement irons than the blade-style wedges.

Or get the Gap Wedge from a super game-improvement set - like my Cobra 3400s - as that'll be 50* and you could use it to replace the 48 and the 52?

I have been doing some reading. Anyone familiar with Adams Tight Lie Ovation Wedges?

They're wedges that make up part of the iron set, so will be game improvement and play more like the main irons that blade wedges. They won't have the versatility in the sole grinding or the aggressive spinning grooves that pro wedges have, but they'll be forgiving and play more like your CPRs.

I hit some a while back before I got the 3400s and thought they were quite nice to play, just not that much of an improvement on my old irons.

The ping i wedge, cg11's, are what first come to ming in terms of cavity back wedges, you could also go with some old cally's if you can find one.

btw, bending a 48 to a 52 in my opinion is a bad idea because of what it does to the bounce.

Finally got smart and went to golf shop my pro recommended. It is a very friendly place and they had me hit a bunch of clubs until I found one that felt like my PW. They fit it for me and out the door with the club. Went straight to the range and not a miss it in 50 balls. This is an extension of an iron line, not a high spin wedge. But I am more interested in contact right now. Some day, maybe I will play high spin blades. Not today.
