does anyone have one of these or had any playing time with one? about a month ago i almost ordered one but backed off because i haven't had much luck with hybrids in the past, but last monday i played with a fellow that had one in 17* and stiff nv shaft. we were on the last hole (par 5) and i asked him if it was ok to hit it. now in the past, my problems with hybrids have been hitting them of the fairway and getting them to launch at a good height to par 5 greens. i can hit them off the tee well but always skeptical of hitting it off the short grass.

anyways, i go ahead and hit this thing and i just hammer it. the ball launches super high (for me anyways), and its going at the middle of the green but tails off left into the left green side bunker. i was shocked. i have never hit a hybrid like that before off the short stuff. so i ask him if i can hit it again and he said no problem. basically the same exact shot into the bunker. i was totally stoked. it had a little more draw than i would like but wow, the launch was awesome. i am not even going to tell how far out i was cause i never would of thought i would of made it to the green, let alone the left greenside bunker with that high of launch.

I have hard good things about the 585h, but have never hit one, as they are a little too expensive for my wallet.

That said, the Nickent 3DX Ironwood DC is an excellent club, also available with the NV shaft, for considerably less money. I'm not a fan of the NV shaft so I opted for the UST SR2 shaft, and I like it.

I've used one and its the only hybrid I've ever hit and liked

I hit one considerably at the range when demoing hybrids. I opted for the Nickent because the cost was about 150 bucks less. Otherwise I would have chosen the Titleist. The ball flys like a rocket off that thing.

Ive hit a lot of hybrids, The titleist is an OK club, Ithits about the same as the Nickent 3dX DC, but has a "dead" feeling.
