Help!!!

Ok so the other thread on the 905R has gotten me thinking. I have been eyeballing an R5 Tp for awhile now but the great deals on the 905R got me thinking...

Does anybody have any suggestions...I probably wont have a chance to hit them, and am probably leaning towards the R5 but am always open to shottalkers opinions...let me have em

you really should try any club before you buy it.

As you all know, I am a Taylor Made player, but the r5 TP was one of the few drivers they have come out with that I did not really care for. It just felt a little dead to me, even with a shaft that I really like (Diamana 83). The 905R is a good club, the key to maxmizing this club is to find the right shaft, all of the options make the club play quite differently.

tmag said it perfect...

i would recommend the 905r, but you should hit it first... like i posted in the other thread, once you have decided check out Golfsmith... they have it for 149.93 in used condition with your choice of shaft, including a speeder model...

also you might check out Global Golf, they tend to have highly competitive prices... but i have not checked it out, so it may be higher or lower than GolfSmith..

oh, wow... thats a considerable drop versus this summer...

still, if you are short on cash, getting preowned from golfsmith is not a bad option.. i got my r5 preowned from them, and it looked brand new when i got it, for a not brand new price at the time..

I didn't care a whole lot for the R5TP either. I liked the R7425 a lot better. I say 425 or Superquad. I've never hit the 905R outside of the demo booth, felt decent to me though. Actually similar in the solid feel as the Superquad to me.

With the 907 series out, the 905 has dropped dramatically in price.

This was exactly what I was looking for. I really like the feel and look of my R7 TP, one of the better drivers I have owned actually. I guess I am just caught up the summer hoing, I dont know. I guess I will wait for the 425Tp to come down in price, I cant really imagine that the 905R will really add anything to my game...maybe a little forgiveness...

Wow $600, thats a lot of dough. Of course it took a few years for the R7 to come down enough for me to get one...I do like the club though, makes me wonder why I was going to get rid of it...

I thought the 905T was a far better driver than the 905R
